1929 - Bishop Thomas C. O'Reilly established Saint Therese Parish. That same year would mark the beginning of a period in American history so difficult, that it would be called the Great Depression - as the stock market was crashing the new Parish was starting to raise money for land and construction. The Parish was built on faith and trust in God, and the good will of the wonderful parishioners. Sunday Masses were celebrated in the Martz Bus Terminal on Old River Road, prior to the construction of the Church.
